About the roaster

Relational coffee is the focal point of Yield Coffee Roasters' philosophy. Paying farmers in excess of fair trade minimums and promoting the stories of farmers and their communities are core to Yield's mission. They also donate 10% of profits to sustainable development projects at origin.

How to get the best cup

This coffee is sold whole bean only.

For best results, grind just before brewing. Start with a medium grind for drip coffee, medium-fine for pour-over, and coarse for French press. If the coffee tastes sharp or sour, try grinding a little finer. If it tastes bitter or heavy, try grinding a little coarser.

Small grind adjustments can make a big difference.

About the Origin

Coffees from Mexico are generally balanced and approachable, with mild acidity and nutty or chocolate-leaning flavors. They tend to favor softer, more traditional profiles over bright or fruit-forward characteristics.

This is a classic interpretation of a roasted Mexican coffee, leaning toward balance and sweetness rather than sharp acidity, with chocolate notes prominent on the backend.

Mexico is a mid-sized exporter with steady production, though individual lots can have more limited distribution.
